At Rose and Caramel we have a proven track record of investing in young people and as a result many have gone on to enjoy professional successes both within and outside of the hair and beauty industry. Alongside the technical elements of the hair and beauty curriculum, we place a huge amount of emphasis on personal conduct, respect and valuing others. Below are a small number of examples of young professionals who have all developed exceptional skills whilst at Rose and Caramel. We are confident that our methods will ensure that new students will enjoy similar successes, including potentially joining the Rose and Caramel family.
HEAD STYLIST AT ROSE & CARAMEL
DIPTI JESSANI
Dipti moved over from India at 12 years old and moved near by to Rose and Caramel salon. She would often walk by and wave, at 14 she got the confidence to walk in and ask for a job. Dipti spoke very broken English and was a very quiet but hard working young girl. Fast forward 12 years and Dipti is the head stylist at Rose and Caramel. She has mentored and privately tutored all our employees to ensure the highest standards of behaviour and skills within the salon, becoming very well respected in the salon and the community. Dipti has also become a qualified teacher and has helped hundreds of students qualify in their desired career choice. Dipti is currently studying for her IQA qualification, always pushing herself to the highest levels in hairdressing and business. Her next role is one that she was born to do and she is very excited and feels more than ready for her new role as Head Teacher at Rose and Caramel Academy, bringing her exceptional hair skills and over a decade of mentoring skills to the business.

LILLIE MCGREAVY
Lillie was a local girl to the salon, she had issues at school that couldn’t be resolved and so school asked could Lillie come to work with us 3 days a week. Lillie was 13 at the time and she turned up on time 3 days a week. She went on to do her level 2 and 3 hairdressing. At 19 years old Lillie is a very important part of the team she is polite, hard working and extremely talented! She is loved by staff and customers alike. Lillie is now learning hair extensions and is excited to add more skills to her hairdressing career which will fit well with the launch of our new hair brand that the girls can’t wait to use and promote. Lillie has also shown a keen interest in assisting the teachers in the academy and giving back as she feels that she can offer an understanding ear and encouragement to girls who are now in a similar situation to what she was. I believe Lillie will be a key part of Rose and Carmel academy.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
OLIVIA IRWIN
Started her journey with Rose and caramel at 14 years old as a salon junior. Olivia went on to become a fully qualified beauty therapist, as amazing as she was in the beauty salon she always always wanted to be more involved in the online side to business. Showing strong potential and determination from a young age to progress in the digital world. As the online business grew Olivia found her pathway and began to become an imperative part of the team. Olivia went on to successfully launch our sister tanning company Dawsylicious Tanning By Charlotte Dawson & Trinity Tanning By Chloe Adair, 2 very successful online businesses and she is now Rose and Caramels Business development manager. Her role has delivered pinnacle growth securing deals with retailers Boots, ASOS, Beauty Bay, WHSmith’s and Pretty little Thing.
BEAUTY THERAPIST
MILLY HODGKINSON
Milly started as a Saturday girl at the salon at 14 years old, from day one Milly showed a great passion for people and loved to help. She tried both hair and beauty and after a year she decided to focus more on beauty. Milly has been an important part of the salon and always gone above and beyond for both customers and staff. Milly has recently decided she would like to focus more on helping others as a career and we are so happy for Milly to be transitioning from the salon to Rose and Caramel academy, where she will be able to use her beauty skills and knowledge along side her passion to build relationships with pupils and encourage self confidence and kindness.
DIGITAL MARKETING & AMAZON ACCOUNT MANAGER
LOUISE BIRSTALL
Louise came to Rose & Caramel on a digital marketing apprenticeship at 16 years old. Louise wasn’t sure what part of digital marketing she would enjoy the most and after trial and error found a passion for the analytics and the back end of how a business is run. She partnered this knowledge with the launch of our UK Amazon account where she has now worked hard to see incredible results with Purity Excel being the NO.1 selling tan remover on Amazon, seeing extreme growth making Amazon one of our most lucrative revenue streams. Louise it’s now taking her skills globally with our successful US launch and our next launch into the EU in the next few months.
TIKTOK ACCOUNT MANAGER
GEORGIA DIXON
Georgia joined Rose and Caramel at 16 years old, on a digital marketing apprentice. Georgia showed creativity early on and was a natural with social media and creative writing. After a few years of working across instagram, product development & design we saw a huge shift of focus within the industry upon Tik Tok. Georgia took the challenge upon herself to throw herself into the Tik Tok world. She became the face of Rose and Carmel and began to create Viral worthy content, bringing new ideas and a breath of fresh air to our socials. Georgia has now had many viral videos with millions of views and created a strong brand presence show casing Rose and Caramel products to a new audience and establishing a strong revenue stream through our Tik Tok shop.

CARMEL LAWSON
Carmel began her journey with Rose and Caramel in 2007, at the age of 16, fresh at beauty college she started as an apprentice. Carmel has been with the company for the entire duration and now has shares within Rose and Caramel and is a fabulous mentor to all the staff at rose and caramel salon. Qualified to level 3 beauty and a semi permanent make up artist Carmel is now ready for here new role passing on her skills to the next generation in Rose and Caramel Academy as the head of department for beauty.

SIAN RATCLIFFE
Sian came to the salon as a part time beauty therapist fresh from college, she had a very strong mind and passion for things to be done to a very high standard. As much as her beauty therapy skills were unmatched Sians rational thinking and team building skills were vastly noticed and appreciated within the business. Sian took a natural leadership role and was a crucial part of the online launch of Rose and Caramel in 2017. She has since gone on to manage a team of 26 staff, with outstanding contributions to all areas of Rose and Caramel including warehouse management, accountancy, photo shoots and campaigns, product development, manufacturing of the products, retailer relationships, Human Resources, team building and general manager duties.

MOLLY ROBINSON
Molly had a keen interest in business when she started her digital marketing apprenticeship with Rose and Caramel, she learned all, the different sectors that cover digital marketing and didn’t find a passion for anything social media, but was naturally drawn to web design and email marketing. Molly is now head of website, creating and developing sites across the business for Rose and Caramel, Dawsylicious Tanning, Rose and Caramel salon, Rose and Caramel pro and Gelossy Gels. Molly also creates multiple emails a week for marketing and educational purposes being responsible for a substantial portion of revenue stream for the business. A new string to her bow is consumer data, creating imperative reports on the use and feedback of each product through data collection.

HOLLY MCDONALD
Holly came to start her her digital marketing apprenticeship at 17, it was apparent Holly could manage all tasks asked of her and enjoyed all aspects of social media. After her apprenticeship ended Holly was offered a fantastic opportunity at Red bull in London and we were sad to see her leave, but when a great opportunity became available of head of social media at Rose and Caramel we were so happy to see the return of Holly. Who’s has settled straight into her role with natural mentoring abilities and a strict work ethic of timing and effort. Holly now is head of all photo shoots, videos, images and editorial content as well as influencer events! We can’t wait to see what else Holly will bring in 2025!
BEAUTY THERAPIST
OLIVIA DAVIES
Olivia started with at Rose and Caramel at 15 with a passion for all things beauty. Olivia has been with us for 10 years. Olivia has an undeniable talent for all things beauty and has done her level 3 beauty. She has a huge passion for gel nails and is very talented in nail art. With never being fully happy or satisfied with a nail range at the salon she has worked closely with Rosie to develop a sub brand to Rose and Caramel - Gelossy Gels, which boasts gel polishes and builder gels. With the range now complete and popular with many salons Olivia will be taking her extensive knowledge and creativity into the Rose and Caramel academy, specialising in private nail courses and of course working within the Rose and Caramel students.

ELISE PYE
Elise started at the salon at 14 years old as a Saturday girl and was trained by Dipti. She has been with us for 9 years and has become a reliable and talented member of the team. A very popular stylist with our customers and a good friend to all. Elise loves all aspects of hair dressing but has a passion for hair extensions and will be leading the way with the launch of our new hair extensions brand hairplexion. It’s been a pleasure watching her career grow from strength to strength and I can’t sit to see her grow into a bigger role at the new salon, mentoring the younger staff in all aspects of hair and hair extensions.

EBONY DAVIES
Ebony was just 13 when she came to Rose and Caramel. Ebony struggled at school and didn’t alway feel that formal education was the route for her. Within the salon Ebony found a safe and caring environment that understood that some days can bring unnecessary pressures from every day life. Ebony showed a firm commitment to hair dressing from the start and with the correct guidance and mentoring from the team we have seen her ability to communicate develop massively,and her confidence grow. She has been able to pass her level 2 at ease, her blow drying is of a much higher level and we are loving watching her grow on her level 3 and see her flourish into a a talented confident stylist.
